Changelog
Customer-facing changes to the Seldon API, Functions and these docs.
October 13, 2026
- Waitlist. Sign up creates an account and adds it to the waitlist. New accounts see that a new version is coming soon and do not get a workspace yet. Existing customers can log in.
October 12, 2026
- Documentation. These docs replace the single quickstart page: a 5-minute quickstart, a Functions tutorial, guides, concepts and reference.
- Base URL.
SELDON_BASE_URLnow includes/v1everywhere it is shown, matching what OpenAI-compatible SDKs expect. If you exported the origin without/v1, add it. - Functions comparison reports. New optimization runs compare up to three executable pipelines with your original call. You choose which to activate; the report no longer blocks activation on quality, cost or latency thresholds.
- Functions output allowances. New compilations size each call's output allowance from the selected endpoint. New revisions reserve up to $10 per call; earlier revisions keep $1.
October 11, 2026
- Editable evaluation. Each function has one Evaluation card with optional plain-language Edit and inline Test, and imports of up to 400 examples.
October 10, 2026
- Durable optimization. Runs have a fixed two-hour deadline, survive restarts without repeating uncertain provider calls, and show live progress, ETA and spending.
October 9, 2026
- Sign-up paused. New account creation is closed while we prepare the next version. Existing customers can log in.
October 8, 2026
- Functions first. Automatic discovery from gateway traffic was retired. You choose which calls to optimize in Functions.
